The cost to build a web site will depend on the size and features your site incorporates. A large site with many pages, images, and special features will certainly cost much more than a basic site with just a few pages. The actual price will be determined after the initial consultation and provided in an estimate. At Gentom, when an estimate is given, our price will not exceed the amount in the estimate for the listed services provided in that estimate.

     Our regular rate is $25 per hour. The regular rate includes technical support, computer setup, installation or support labor, web site design, graphics work, digital photography, scanning and image editing. For new web site customers, 'pre-design' consultation is free up to 1 hour.

     Business Card One Page Site: $90
           A single page site similar to a business card. This will place your business on the Internet for little investment. The purpose of this type of site is just to provide contact information, location, and store hours. Includes up to 3 graphics or images, and scanning.

     Personal Special Event One Page Site: $75
           A single page site for that special someone. A great way to share a birthday, reunion, wedding, anniversary or other special occasion. Maybe a Christmas wish to share with friends and family who are far away. One page website length is equal up to 2 printable pages. Includes image scanning up to 8 images and a disk with your pictures in digital format. FREE hosting up to one year on one of our hosting accounts. The web address of your special page, will be something like www.website.1hwy.com/(website name here).htm. Due to this being a free host, banner ads will appear on your site. The banner advertisers defray the cost of hosting, making it available to other users at no cost.

Below are some fixed costs that you can expect to incur

     Updates: $20 and up
           We can update your site daily, weekly, or monthly as needed. Prices vary depending on the amount of data that is changed and the frequency. Minor changes like e-mail address change, will be done without charge if change is infrequent. Minimum $20 as needed for updates. If it is a large update, the regular rate will apply.

     Domain Name Registration: from $9.95/year
           A domain name is an Internet address like www.your-name.com. We will assist you in the domain name registration process and register it for you. You will be the owner of your domain name.

     Hosting: $5.95 to $50 per month
           At this time, Gentom does not provide hosting services. We will however, make the proper recommendation for a host. There are many options available for web site hosting. There are reliable free hosts, but banner ads are inserted into your pages. Paid services are as little as $6.00 per month and up depending on features.

     Search Engine Submission: $25/hour (plus expenses if necessary for paid submissions)
           A search engine is an Internet site where users enter keywords to find a specific product or service. Submitting your site to these search engines, will make it available for users to find when searching keywords that relate to your business or service. This service is included in a new web site contract.
